We pride ourselves on raising high quality animals to provide excellent beef to our customers. Animal welfare, soil health, and water quality are priorities that govern the management of our cattle operation.
Natural & Grass Fed
Our beef is natural and grass fed. We raise the calves from birth and monitor everything that goes into them. We do not use hormones or growth promoters. The cattle graze pastures all year with supplemental feed given when foraging alone will not provide adequate nutrition. Calves are vaccinated for the most common, easily preventable, diseases.
Custom Cut &Processed
Our beef is sold by the whole or half animal. We will deliver your animal to be custom processed at Titus County Meat Processing Plant. We will go over the cut sheet with you, to ensure that your beef is processed exactly how you like it. The butcher will follow your instructions as closely as possible. Each animal is different and the butcher will make necessary cutting and processing decisions at his/her discretion.
Health
Grass fed beef tends to be lower in overall fat content but contains more omega-3 fatty acids compared to grain fed beef. Grass fed beef (on a gram/gram fat basis) has a more desirable saturated fatty acid lipid profile as compared to grain fed beef. Grass fed beef is higher in precursors for Vitamin A and E, as well as antioxidants, when compared to grain fed beef.
